UC Berkeley Cryo EM Course

Why take this course?

  • Have a full 6 days to process samples start to finish.
  • Work with leading authorities in cryopreparation methods, immunolabeling techniques, and cellular tomography.
  • Have access to the most recently developed techniques and equipment.
  • Evaluate equipment for possible purchase.
  • Obtain preliminary data for grant applications.
  • Learn the basics of cellular tomography, one of the most exciting new developments in EM.
  • Who should attend?
This is a course for biological research scientists who already have EM experience, but who want to extend their skills to include techniques that will give them the best available preservation of cell ultrastructure and antigenicity. It is especially suitable for biological EM laboratory managers who can pass on the course information to their staff and users.
